Grant and I got back around midnight after the dinner was over. It was such a perfect evening give or take a few bumps in the road such as Alexia and Dane showing up. All in all we still enjoyed ourselves as we celebrated my husband’s promotion. Tonight was such a good relief for the both of us given the rocky times we had been having. I just wanted to relish in the peaceful stress free atmosphere that had been provided for us even if it was just for one night. Grant and I relieved the babysitter as she notified us that Greg was asleep in his room. As I checked on my baby real quick I left Grant in our bedroom to get relaxed before the real party started. After kissing Greg on the cheek and turning on his night light I made my way back into our bedroom. Grant was still undressing as I came in. “Need some help?” I smiled at him coming closer. Grant looked over at me and smiled. “Yeah come over here.” I knelt on the bed and helped him take off his shirt revealing those perfect abs I loved so much. “You know baby…” I said kissing his neck.

“I don’t know how this night could get any better….wait yes I do if I could make love to my beautiful, gorgeous, stunning and sexy husband.” I giggled. I turned Grant’s face toward me and placed my mouth on his. I started biting at his bottom lip forcing my tongue inside of his mouth doing all the things I knew he liked. Instead of getting riled up as he usually did Grant pulled away from me. “As much as I would love to baby I am really tired…” He said getting up from the bed and grabbing some underwear from the dresser. “And I have to go to work bright and early in the morning.” Grant continued to come up with excuse after excuse while I was left utterly confused. In complete shock I laughed nervously.

“Wow…that’s the first time in years you have turned me down.” “It’s not that, it’s just it has been a long night you know.” Looking at him and not believing a word he was saying I reluctantly nodded. “Ok.” “Don’t be upset…” Grant sighed. “I just need some rest tonight that’s all…” I just looked at him reading his face and body language. “I am about to hop in the shower I will be out in a minute ok.” I continued to nod as he left and went into the bathroom. Lying back on my bed I closed my eyes and breathed deeply. Oh yeah, something is wrong, the question is what?”
